There are three major differences:
1. This class is virtual whereas the Beginner Workshop is in-person.
2. There will be hands-on activities in the Beginner Workshop, whereas this class is information based.
3. This class shows you the big picture of photography: from the basics to the equipment, the road from a beginner to a pro. The Beginner Workshop focuses on the core settings and is task-oriented, which means you'll learn the essential skills by doing.
While we provide all the equipment for our in-person workshops, this virtual class requires you to use your own camera or smartphones.
It is perfectly fine if you don't have a camera at this point. You can use your smartphone as a replacement.
There are 2 differences:
1. The pre-recorded class can be played back again and again, whereas this class is live.
2. The pre-recorded Beginner Class is task-based and focuses on the core settings; whereas this class also covers good amount of information on equipment choice and the career path of a photographer.
